One of my favourite ways to practice letting go is in the kitchen. No recipe, no rules, just me, my intuition, and tastebuds. Yes there have been bloopers, but more often than not, my gut leads me to a combination of ingredients that not only taste good, they’re good for my body too. The joy of creating something new, savouring it, and sharing it with others is something that can’t be bought in the supermarket!
A recent discovery was this minimalist choc pud. I am a big chocolate pudding fan, but my body isn’t a big dairy or processed sugar fan, so when I was craving some smooth chocolate and this recipe worked, I was in heaven! Bonus: Even the man of the house liked it! He often finds my random concoctions too ‘fake’, but this passed as close enough to the real thing.
- Coconut cream from one can of coconut milk
- 1 ripe-ish banana
- 1/4 cup of raw cacao powder
- 2 drops of doTERRA Wild Orange essential oil
- Stevia to sweeten to taste (optional)
Mix everything together with a hand mixer/immersion blender and enjoy guilt-free! Double tick for #nourish and #pleasure.
PS if you’re not using doTERRA essential oils or another Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade essential oil double check that you can use yours in food. Not all essential oils are created equal and some have synthetics or other nasties that are not safe to ingest. Want to get your hands on doTERRA CPTG oils? Start here.
